GCAA Students Go Green

This Tuesday, students at Grand Center Arts Academy participated in the Spring Harvest Festival at Mathews-Dickey Boys' & Girls Club. The event is part of the Grow Towers program that has been in the 6th and 8th grade classrooms of GCAA for three years. Students have been involved in the maintenance and growing of fresh vegetables in class.

At the Tuesday event, our students met Stephen Ritz, founder of the Green Machine St. Louis. They also prepared a special healthy meal with some of the food they had been growing. There were four other student groups present that had also all prepared food. After the ceremony, everyone got to enjoy the delicious food.
