CPA's Child Development Class Puts on Mock Wedding

Students in Mrs. Banks’ Childhood Development Class put on a mock wedding for 3 “couples”. The female students made their own tutus and headpieces for the event. At 1:25 the chapel (cafeteria) was full of their fellow students excited to see the fake nuptials.

Mrs. Banks organizes this activity for her students because it is a fun learning experience. She is teaching them about strengthening the function of the family as a basic unit of society, and to encourage democracy through cooperative action in the home and community.  In addition, she prepares the students to understand the multiple roles of men and women in today’s society with this project along with so many other lessons and projects throughout the year.
