Efforts, Funds Growing For Expanding Early Childhood Education Across St. Louis

Institutions are finding ways to use state funds more effectively and gathering several community organizations to help raise funding for more pre-K opportunities. Several charter schools in the city are looking to partner with other childhood centers to help with filling the pre-K spots of 4,000 quality child care spots.

Confluence Academies is one of the largest charter school networks in the city and is already offering free preschool. Dr. Candice Carter-Oliver, Confluence Academies Chief Executive Officer, is hoping to use her school's role to be a resource to answer any questions and share the schools' missions and values for best practices.
