April 19, 2016 – ACT test day for juniors

On Tuesday, April 19, every junior in the state will take the ACT college entrance exam. Since 2014, the test has been given annually to juniors across Missouri who are enrolled in public schools and public charter schools.

Between Confluence Preparatory Academy and Grand Center Arts Academy, nearly 200 juniors will take the college entrance exam. The test is provided at no cost, and the exam is taken at school during regular school hours.

For weeks, juniors have been preparing for the test, either through the ACT Prep class at CPA or learning labs at GCAA. At Confluence Prep, the juniors took a practice ACT test before spring break. Scores earned from the ACT can be applied to college applications.

As the ACT test date nears, students should heed the advice of their teachers and counselors:

  • Get plenty of rest the night before the exam.
  • Eat a good breakfast.
  • Get to school on time.
  • Use the test strategies you’ve learned and don’t leave any questions blank or unanswered.
  • Monitor your time.
  • Be optimistic.
  • Do your best!
